Round Up: Rollerblading down Salt Mines Edition

by JT McGee

This has to be the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. Apparently, it’s called “bombing down a salt mine,” which made me think I was about to witness an explosion. Sorry folks, you just get to see a crazy dude rollerblading through a salt mine. This is worth every moment of the :36 run time; be sure to look at the sides of the walls to get a reference of how fast this guy has to be going.

Cool stuff this week:

Study on Elite Schools vs. Public Schools at MoneyTalksCoaching. Basically, the study tracked students through their lives, seeing if elite school graduates earned more than non-elite graduates. Worth the read, for sure.

Triggers for Overspending from SoOverDebt gives a therapist angle on the reasons people overspend. This is why I don’t like therapists, even though my sister is one, too—they’re always trying to read yo’ mind!

The DMV is selling your information, according to MoneyedUp. This is a great article with tips on how to opt-out.

People actually do home exchanges for vacations? Money Crashers say so. Interesting.

LOL for the week: People who don’t have cable are more interesting in every way, say those without cable FinancialUproar is always good for a laugh.
