Americans on Real Estate

by JT McGee

This is what people mean when they say there are no true contrarians.

Whether it’s buying cheap stocks or cheap homes, no one wants to make that call when others might disagree. The “long term” is, to most people, the past 3 years, not the next 20.

I think that is surprising, but then again, few people approach these things from a well informed perspective. Its easy to get caught up in the sort of folk discussions of the best places to put your money. Its important to think of the long term in the future while recognizing the patterns of the past.
